Derek has extensive experience in the Irish bar scene, having worked as a bartender, manager, and pub owner in Australia, Canada, and beyond. His passion for Irish pub culture is complemented by deep whiskey knowledge from training, tastings, and his role as Global Brand Ambassador for Powers Irish Whiskey.

His whiskey career began at Slane Distillery, where he managed the visitor centre at Slane Castle. Later, he became the global spokesperson for Powers Whiskey.
