Had a wonderful night in M.P. Walsh, where Derek ran through some cracking irish whiskeys, gained a great insight into some old reliable and new emerging irish whiskies. Derek’s knowledge was excellent, you would find it hard to beat Experience Irish Whiskey when it comes to having a fun night tasting the best Ireland has to offer in terms of whiskey.

My friends and I had an incredible time making cocktails with Derek! He is very knowledgeable, fun, and welcoming. From the moment the experience started, Derek made sure no one ever had an empty glass and kept the complimentary prosecco flowing.
This is a perfect experience for hens, birthdays, corporate parties, or just a weekend activity. The cocktails we made were dangerously gorgeous, made with locally sourced quality ingredients and lots of laughter. I cannot recommend this enough, and I cannot wait to do it again!

The experience was exceptional as Derek hosted us in a very authentic Irish pub and was extremely knowledgeable about whiskey. It was also great to be able to speak generally with a local about all things Ireland / Dublin. I would highly recommend for any visitor to Ireland.

Whether you’re a whiskey lover or not, the Irish whiskey experience is a great activity to do in Dublin alone or with a group of friends. The host, Derek, was very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. You can learn a lot about whiskey history and try whiskey from different Irish brands.

I have done 2 tasting with Derek now and both have left me in awe.
1st was through The Village Whiskey Society and the knowledge he passed on to us was amazing. The overall set up was great and he was more than happy to entertain any questions (stupid or not lol) the whole group loved it.
2nd was for a friend’s Stag. Derek was more than accommodating. We had a small group of whiskey and non whiskey drinkers. By the end of it he had educated and converted the non whiskey drinkers all while keeping everyone engaged and entertained.
I can’t wait for the next tasting.

I booked this tour for a couple of friends that were visiting me in Dublin for a few days. I wanted to show them what Dublin and the pubs were all about.
I have to say this tour delivered this in abundance !
The drinks and whiskey were all top notch. Some of the brand we were familiar with, some of the other brands smaller bespoke distilleries that were great to learn about the insider knowledge.
The location was the Swan Bar, a real authentic pub in Dublin…..
